English translation:
The world asks a lot of us. We have to work, study, exercise, and do so much more. Because of this, we often lose sight of the most important thing in our lives: God. When God calls us, we must answer just like Mary: “Let it be done to me according to Your word.”
In this way, God has called us, along with many young people from Northern Europe, to the Youth Days 2026. Sometimes you have the feeling that God wants you to be somewhere. He wants to give you a home outside of your own warm and comfortable home. He wants to nourish you with more than just physical food. He wants to give you a family alongside your family of flesh and blood—a place where you are reunited with your spiritual family. It is as if you escape from the world and, for a brief moment, heaven becomes tangible. This is how we experienced the Youth Days 2026.
It is a place where there are not only consecrated people, but also brothers and sisters in Christ from all across Northern Europe. It helped us greatly to know that we share our faith with so many young people. We grow not only through our conversations with one another, but also by sharing our suffering with each other. We find it beautiful to see that people from different countries, who speak different languages, can still communicate with one another through the language of love—the love of Jesus Christ. We came together as brothers and sisters in Christ to believe, talk, and laugh together.
Every day felt as though time had stood still. For a moment, we set our own time aside and allowed ourselves to be guided by God’s voice. There, we could not only experience religious life, but also see the bond of love between parents and children among the members of the Third Order. The weekend showed us once again what we live for and who we are: children of our Father.
As sinners, we were given not only the opportunity to grow in virtue, but also, and above all, to receive the gifts of God: the sacraments. Every day, we celebrated Holy Mass, and there was always an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. It is a great grace from God that during such a weekend we can nourish and purify our souls. Just as a phone needs to be recharged again and again in order to function, so we see the Youth Days as a place where we can be spiritually recharged.
During this weekend, we forged our spiritual armor. The Youth Days have ensured that the flame of the Holy Spirit in our hearts burns once again with the love of Christ. After the camp, we take home a bag full of experiences, and we are once again recharged to proclaim the Gospel with faith, hope, and love!
